Great track, Liz has got an amazing voice!” Gilles Peterson
“Fall In To Me” is the first of three singles to be taken from the forthcoming new Emanative & Liz Elensky album, “The Volume Of The Light”, to be released on Home planet in March 2021.
Producer & drummer, Emanative combines forces with his wife, the vocalist and lyricist Liz Elensky. This album finds them both taking a slightly different direction. The album features a carefully select crew of friends, collaborators and musicians:
Rocketnumbernine, Tamar Collocutor, The Maghreban, Jessica Lauren, Ben Hadwen, Vince Vella, DJ Khalab, Dan Jose and Deoke.
Emanative is drummer and producer Nick Woodmansey, best known for spiritual jazz albums and releases on labels such as Brownswood, The Steve Reid Foundation and Jazzman Records, as well as flirting with things more electronic.(Also responsible for co-producing and mixing records for artists such as Sarathy Korwar & Collocutor)
Liz Elensky is a vocalist, lyricist and vocal arranger who has been involved with Emanative since the beginning of his project back in 2006, as well as with several other live and recording projects.
The decision to join forces and start experimenting together came about as an idea to combine their worlds; a creative project where drums, percussion and production meet vocals, lyrics and concept.
Fall In To Me features Ben Hadwen, a long time friend and original member of Emanative. The vocals were arranged, dreamily weaving in and around Ben’s horn & bass clarinet arrangement, which all sits on a heavy synth bass line and dubbed out drums.

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
